Enjoy the Natural Beauty of the Sian Ka’an Reserve
The Sian Ka’an Reserve is a protected natural area. It was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and is comprised of complex coral reefs, millions of fish, small white sand bays, and mangroves.
SAIL TO THE MUYIL AND CHUNYAXCHÉ LAGOONS
Hop on a boat to the reserve. Sail among channels that lead to the mangroves and admire the hundreds of birds and reptiles that feed on fish, larvae, and small, colorful insects.
DISCOVER THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL AREAS
There are twenty-three archaeological sites throughout the reserve. Muyil, an ancient and important point of the Mayan commercial route, stands out. It is found next to a spectacular lagoon, and boasts a viewpoint built especially for you to take photographs of the lagoon, the jungle, and the sea.
SUBMERGE YOURSELF IN THE HIDDEN CENOTE
Let yourself be led by the local guides and float in it as the Mayans did centuries ago to refresh their bodies and heal their souls by connecting with the water that emanates from the depths of the earth.
